Mountain View Froyo and Smoothie Cafe (MV) is a yogurt, smoothie, and quiet food establishment located at 222 West Midland Avenue in Woodland Park, Colorado. MV was purchased by the current owner in December of 2022, and has continued to serve the residents of Teller County as well as the many tourists that visit the area. The current owners of MV made small changes in the menu, décor, and other areas and business revenues have increased substantially since they became owners nearly a year ago. But the owners had other business interests and have decided that they do not have the time to adequately take care of their other businesses and this store as well.
MV serves several different flavors of yogurt and has four in-the-wall new and ultra-modern dispensers which make it easy for customers to design their own treat with one or more flavors. MV also has a portable yogurt machine which they take to events at schools, parks, and other venues such as Main Street events in the area. In addition to yogurt, MV serves different types of hot and cold foods as well as different types of coffees and cold drinks. They are well known for their specialty hot dogs.
Sales in 2019 exceeded $85,000.00. 2020 happened to be a down year due to COVID. Sales dropped to just over $74,000.00. But 2021 proved to be a banner year with sales coming in about $100,000.00. Sales for 2022 are not exactly known as the business was sold near the end of the year but sales were expected to generate about the same revenue as 2021. 2023 however has shown a substantial increase in sales as the store is now open all year. Sales are projected to reach $140,000.00 or approximately a 40% increase over 2021.
The facilities are located on the main street in Woodland Park. During the late spring, summer, and early fall, the traffic is backed up for miles with tourists coming into and through town to get to their destination.
